School conservation projects

Getting schools involved with the work we do at the Hawk Conservancy Trust is extremely rewarding for both pupils and teachers.

Our School Supporter’s Scheme is an initiative we’ve developed to engage with schools on conservation issues and to get children involved in the Trust’s conservation projects.

To become School Supporters costs £350 and this is valid for 12 months. We would be happy to discuss specific needs and requirements to make sure your school gets the most out of the package.

In return for your school's support, you will receive:

Which Projects can you Support?

We have three different packages to chose from, each supporting different conservation projects. All the funds raised through the initiative will go directly to the projects you have chosen to support. The packages can be used to complement subjects being taught in the curriculum or on conservation projects your school is supporting.

National Bird of Prey Hospital™

Opened by the Duke of Gloucester, the Hawk Conservancy Trust’s National Bird of Prey Hospital™ can receive and treat more than 200 sick, injured or orphaned birds of prey each year.

The Tawny Owl is the representative species for this package and where you can proudly display your School Supporter’s Plaque. It’s a species we unfortunately see high numbers of every year in the hospital for many reasons, from orphaned young owlets to road casualties.
