Success at BIAZA Awards

We are thrilled to announce that we have been presented with two awards at the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) annual awards ceremony.

As with previous years, we received an award for outstanding research work. This year it was a silver award in recognition of the work that Dr Campbell Murn (our Head of Conservation and Research) has completed in  optimising methods to undertake large raptor surveys.

Following the fantastic success of breeding a White-headed Vulture using a novel husbandry approach for the zoo industry last year, we were pleased to receive a bronze award in recognition of this and our animal breeding, care and welfare work.
