Ways You Can help

Support the Trust

As well as supporting the Trust by becoming a member, volunteer, or sponsor, or attending one of our experience sessions there are many ways that you can support our work, most of which will not cost you a penny.

Pile of pound coinsDonations/ Gift Aid

Donations are a vital source of funding towards the Trust, and go directly towards the conservation, rehabilitation and research work we carry out with Birds of Prey throughout the world.

Gift Aid logoAs a charity we are able to claim Gift Aid on any donations made to the Trust. If you are a UK taxpayer and complete a Gift Aid declaration form we can claim an additional 25p in every £1 that you donate. Look out for the Gift Aid logo when making a booking at the Trust as this is a vital form of income for the Trust funding much of our conservation work.

I agree that this amount should be subject to Gift Aid

If you would prefer to make an instalment donation to the Trust - weekly, monthly or yearly, please consider setting up a Direct Debit or Standing order payment from your bank account. If you wish to set up a Standing Order, please contact the Trust office on 01264 773850 for our bank details in order to set up a payment scheme from your bank. If you wish to set up a Direct Debit payment again please contact the Trust office and we will send you a Direct Debit mandate allowing regular payments to be deducted from your bank at an amount and date requested by you.

Leave money in your willLegacies

It is important to have an up to date will, and leaving a Gift to the Trust in your will is a valuable way to help Birds of Prey. Your support helps us to continue our vital work with rare and endangered species around the world, and to continue our work in the research of, and the education about, raptors to the general public.

If you need to make a will the first step is to talk to a solicitor or a reputable professional will writer. This will ensure that your will is legally correct and that all your wishes will be carried out as you requested.  Remember there are several types of legacy:

If you want to leave a donation in your Will to help the work of the Trust, your solicitor will need to know the following details:

Charity Name The Hawk Conservancy Trust

Internet Support

EveryClick logoEvery Click By using this search engine when using the internet you can help raise money for our charity. Anyone using the site can nominate a charity from its list of registered charities, and at the end of each month 50% of their gross income is distributed amongst the nominated charities. The proportion of the donation will be equivalent to the number of supporters who nominate that particular charity, so the more times the charity is nominated the larger the donation. There is no cost to yourself or the charity, and even if you do not wish to nominate a specific charity, the income earned from your visit will be split between all the existing charities.

Buy At logoBuy At If you buy on line consider using the website www.buy.at. There are over 100 retailers involved with this site, many of which are household names, such as BT, Comet, Teleflorist, Thorntons  and many more. There is no extra cost to you when you help raise funds for the Trust, you pay the same prices as shopping directly with the retailer and there are often discounts exclusive to the webshop. This means shopping online is safe and quick, and a commission is paid to the Trust for any item bought via the Trust link. You can go direct to the webshop from the link from our home page.

Payroll Giving LogoPayroll Giving

You can donate to the Trust via the payroll giving scheme straight from your gross pay. Please speak to your employer about signing up to the scheme, further information is available at www.payrollgivingcentre.org.uk Don’t forget you can also claim tax relief of up to 40% on your donations.

Recycle ink cartridgesInk Cartridge Recycling.

The Trust can provide a recycling envelope to recycle your empty ink cartridges from either your home or work computer. By using this envelope the Trust will receive a donation for every envelope used.

Recycle your mobile phoneRecycle your old mobile phone.

It is believed that there are over 9 million unused mobile phones in this country, and each one of them can be worth £3 to the Trust. Phone recycling has become a popular way for charities to help raise funds for their work, and the Trust is no exception. Collect a phone aid recycling envelope from the Trust put in any unwanted mobile phones and return to the Trust. We will then send them to Phoneaid who will donate £3 per phone, whatever their age or condition, to the work of the Trust. The phones are then re-developed for use in third world countries or recycled safely.

Thank you for your support.
