A Full Day Experience with Birds of Prey

A fun and informative day allowing guests the opportunity to get close to and fly several species of birds of prey including: kites, eagles, owls and Hawks. Behind the scenes tours and the chance to watch the spectacular Valley of Eagles display also helps give an insight into the work of the Trust. Harris Hawk Flying Experience

Half Day Experience with Birds of Prey

This three hour session is designed to give guests the opportunity to get close to and learn more about Birds of Prey, and enjoy being in their company. The day will include handling and flying a range of Birds of Prey that are to be found here at the Trust. This is not an intensive course, but a taster session to learn how to fly Birds of Prey. Owl Experience

Owl Experience

Owls have always been one of the most popular and well loved of all the Bird of Prey species, and this course allows guests the opportunity to get close to and fly some of these beautiful creatures.

There will be the opportunity to fly several species of owl from both Britain and around the world during your session, as well as a short guided tour around some of our aviary based species to talk about the conservation work carried out by the Trust. Great Bustard

Raptor and Great Bustard Experience

This day is brought to you by the Hawk Conservancy Trust and the Great Bustard Group to give you the chance to get really close to some very special species of birds.

Your morning will include handling and flying a range of birds of prey species that are to be found at the Trust, and may include: kites, owls, hawks and vultures.

After lunch, you will enjoy privileged access to the UK’s only Great Bustard aviary at the Trust, followed by a visit to Salisbury Plain where you will, with a guide from the Great Bustard Group, visit the project release site. Guests must be aged 16 and over. £130.00 - more details

Family Fun with Raptors

At last something to write in their school diaries about “What our family did at the weekend”.

This half day experience session (either morning or afternoon) allows the whole family to get close to and enjoy working with a variety of Birds of Prey. This is a chance for all generations of the family to experience the unforgettable pleasure of working with these wonderful creatures, and learn a little bit more about them, and the work the Trust carries out with them. Training the bird to return to the fist

An Introduction to Training Birds of Prey

This course is designed to give you an introduction to the care and training of birds of prey.

Over two days you will cover topics such as husbandry, welfare, practical handling, basic training and other aspects of working with raptors. Each participant will have their own bird, and all tuition is provided by highly experienced Hawk Conservancy Trust staff. Guests must be aged 16 and over. £260.00 - more details
