Since the launch of the Harry Potter books,
owls have become one of the most popular and well loved of all
the Bird of Prey species, and this course allows children the
opportunity to get close to and fly some of these beautiful
creatures.
This course allows children the chance to
get close to and fly different species of owls from around
the world. There is also the opportunity to improve their owl
identification techniques by sight and sound, and learn about
owls eating habits from dissecting an owl pellet. Limited to
children aged 6-11 years old.
The cost of the child’s owl experience
covers the session and ticket price of one accompanying adult. £55.00 -

Accompanied by one of the Trust’s falconers
(and an assistant): look after a bird section at the park;
learn about the day to day care of Birds of Prey. Look at the
training of young birds, and how they progress into display
birds, and assist in a bird's training programme. Try your
hand at swinging a falcon lure, and using a radio transmitter
to track lost birds. Fly a bird of prey in our flying arena,
and practise your skills as a commentator in front of an audience
of your fellow experience guests. Meet one of the Trust's Barn
Owls at close quarters, and fly this beautiful creature to
