The Hawk Conservancy Trust can provide speakers for your business functions or corporate events. There are two talks available:
Raptor Casualty. An entertaining and interactive look behind the scenes of the National Bird of Prey Hospital. It is full of heart-breaking and heart-warming stories about some of the 200 plus patients that the Trust admits into its care each year.
It’s a Good Day for Flying a Kite. A humourous look back on the history of the Trust, along with an insight to present day work and conservation projects.
In addition, members of our Conservation and Research Department are able to give detailed presentations about our various conservation projects and programmes: from raptor nest box schemes in the Test Valley, Red Kite re-introduction and post-release monitoring, to our overseas projects with vultures in South Africa and Pakistan. Due to the more scientific nature of this presentation, it is probably more suited to natural history or wildlife groups.
Each talk lasts approximately one hour, with a question and answer period afterwards. A slideshow of images is incorporated within the talk.
The cost of providing a speaker will be as follows: for talks within the Andover or Devizes areas, a minimum donation of £50.00 to the Hawk Conservancy Trust; for talks outside the above areas, a minimum donation of £75.00 to the Hawk Conservancy Trust plus travel expenses of 40p per mile.
All proceeds (excluding travel) go directly to funding the work of the Hawk Conservancy Trust.
