What to do: Behind-the-scenes winter experience

Cedric with African Fish Eagle
Cedric with Hooded Vultures

Once again this winter, we are offering the rare chance for you to have an exclusive experience with our knowledgeable falconer Cédric, behind the scenes here at the Hawk Conservancy Trust.

Whilst the Trust grounds are closed to the general public, you will be granted special access to accompany Cédric to feed and fly a variety of iconic birds, accessing areas not normally open to the public, to really see the falconry work of the Trust. With an expert at your fingertips, you’ll be able to ask everything you wish to know about falconry, the Trust and our impressive birds.

Cédric has worked at the Trust for 10 years and will be delighted to share his extensive knowledge with you as you accompany him to tend to the birds. This experience will give you the chance to learn about and fly a variety of awe-inspiring birds, and promises to be a truly memorable occasion to cherish forever. Be sure to bring a camera to capture shots of the birds and those magical moments.

There are two sessions to choose from:

  • Morning session – 9.30am - 1.00pm
  • Extended session – 9.30am - 3.30pm (includes lunch)
